Simon R. Gillespie Studios

The first thing you notice about Simon Gillespie is his engaging smile surrounded by an enormous moustache, thoroughly engaging and charming, he willingly talks enthusiastically about his passion for his work and Art. Simon Gillespie and his team cover the spectrum of services such as consulting on buying and starting your own Art collection. Above his premises in Albermarle Street, adjacent to Bond Street, is the studio where the gallery’s specialty Restoration is conducted. For an art lover but not an expert by any means such as myself, the atmosphere in the studio is thoroughly beguiling and very interesting. If you are at all interested in Art, when you are in the Bond Street area of London, don’t miss the opportunity to pop in and see the current collection on display. Although the works of art are in the American Express Centurion Card bracket, the atmosphere is very welcoming, and my impression is that Simon Gillespie and his team are simply keen is to give more people the opportunity to enjoy beautiful art.

William Weston Gallery

When I visited this gallery, it was exhibiting Screenprints by European Masters of Abstract Art 1920’s-1950.  The collection was quite extensive, from Jean (Hans)) Arp, Paul Klee, (one of my personal favorites), to Jacques Villon. The gallery in September had an exhibition of Signed Lithographs in color Edition of 25 impressions only of the great Joan Miro. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff helpful in helping you identify an artist that perhaps you had not thought of but paints in a similar style to your artist of choice.
