MONACO

The Hotel de Paris itself is an incredible institution in the tradition of the grand hotels that has not lost its charm. It still insists unlike a number of 5 star hotels around the world that you must be properly attired. I witnessed recently at coctail hour, a small well to do group of men in shorts, and the worst hairy legs (really men should shave, just kidding) trying to make it into the Bar, they were discreetly and politely turned away.  The Bar is straight out of a bygone era, when having afternoon tea and cocktails at 5.30 is a must on the day’s agenda. The Hotel de Paris is also home to Alain Ducasse’s t famous Louis XV restaurant.
